To Attend California ILPD Summit

On August 6th Mader Southeast project management and executive team members participated at the Integrated Lean Project Delivery summit held at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California. The day-long program featured presentations from construction management tech leaders – including representatives of Walt Disney Imagineering, general contractor Barton Malow, Morris Architects as well as other companies..

Throughout its work on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter and ongoing through its current work at the expansions of the Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and EPCOT Soarin’ attraction, Mader project management has been active in applying construction technology and in partnering under the ILPD framework. The August conference’s objectives is to exchange ideas and pursue further efficiencies through ILPD management and applied technologies

Deploys Trimble® Laser at Disney Park Expansion

As work progresses on Walt Disney World’s dramatic expansion of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, Mader Southeast’s field personnel have deployed the use of a Trimble® laser system. The sophisticated survey system ensures precise alignment (layout) of attraction partitions, ceilings and soffit.

The expansion of the world famous theme park is being managed under an integrated project delivery framework using three dimensional BIM software.

Awarded Contract for Disney’s Avatar Expansion

Mader Southeast field and project management have mobilized to participate in the massive expansion of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World. Partnering with general contractor Balfour Beatty the expansion includes construction of multiple attractions, retail and food and beverage facilities. The multi-million dollar expansion is themed for the James Cameron film ‘Avatar’

Mader Southeast’s team is no stranger to large-scale themed construction. Recently, the company finished work on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. In addition, Mader is also active on the expansion of EPCOT’s Spoarin’ attraction.

Mader Southeast is one of the most active construction subcontractors currently working on Walt Disney World property – with contracts for new construction as well as renovations.
