The Monster House
In 2014, Mader Southeast partnered with several of Central Florida’s most prominent contractors to construct THE MONSTER HOUSE. Sponsored by the WTKS ‘Monsters in the Morning radio show, the Monster House program was created to provide a new home for the family of a military veteran who was outstanding in his service to the country.
Sgt. Jackie Irving joined the U.S. Army in May 2006 and was stationed at Oklahoma, Alaska and Texas. He also did two tours of duty in Iraq in 2008-2009 and Afghanistan in 2011-2012. During his tour in Afghanistan, he was hit with an IED while on foot patrol. His injuries included left shoulder subluxation, nerve damage, PTSD, shrapnel wounds, head injuries, and bleeding on the brain. Sgt. Irving has received a Purple Heart, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
